For families\, the acronyms and processes can seem overwhelming to start. Join us for this series to learn useful information and effective strategies to help you and your child navigate special education options. \nA Series of Family Empowerment \nPresenter Kara Georgi will discuss Special Education regulations and advocacy strategies. \nAbout our Speaker: Kara Georgi is the Parent Education Specialist for Starbridge Parent Training and Information Center. She offers support and information for families and professionals navigating the special education system in Cayuga\, Tompkins\, Onondaga\, Cortland\, Broome\, Madison\, Chenango\, Otsego and Delaware Counties. \n Online three-part series: \nMonday\, May 4\, 9-11 am:  “Special Education Regulations”\nWednesday\, May 6\, 9-11 am:  “Effective Communication”\nFriday\, May 8\, 9-11 am: “Advocacy Steps” \nRegistration is required.
