Come join FRN in visiting SUNY Oneonta’s Discovery Center and Planetarium!
SUNY Oneonta’s A.J. Read Science Discovery Center is a hands-on museum for people of all ages and abilities. The Discovery Center connects visitors to the joy and power of the scientific process through authentic, interactive exhibits, and serves as the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) resource for the SUNY Oneonta community and wider region.
The Planetarium is well-outfitted to bring gripping views of outer space to students and members of the community. The planetarium’s theater brings you sharp views of the stars, planets and, constellations visible in the night sky!
A light lunch will be provided.

These events are for individuals with OPWDD eligibility living in the family home in Broome, Chenango, Otsego, Delaware, Tioga or Tompkins County.

Parents/Caregivers must attend the events. Siblings are encouraged to come too!
***Dragon Dates is funded by a grant from the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). Self-directing families will need to add “Social Skills Group” to their budgets prior to attending. The amount to be added to your budget will be determined based on your planned use of the program in 2019. Please contact Family Resource Network for assistance.***
