Family Peer Advocates

Full time (30) hour per week
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Position offers $13.00 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement.

You must be a parent who is/or has been a caregiver of a child with a mental health or developmental disability. “Lived experience” is extremely valuable when working with families in need of resources, support and advocacy.

Applicant must:
*Possess excellent organizational and communication skills
*Complete progress notes in a timely manner
*Conduct home visits with families to identify need
*Submit to a background/fingerprint check (at no cost to applicant)
*Have experience advocating within the service systems (i.e. Mental Health, Education, DSS, Juvenile Justice, SPOA)
*Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Youth Peer Advocates

The Family Resource Network is now offering the following employment opportunity-

Youth Peer Advocate

Full time (30) hours per week positions available

Position offers $13.00 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement.

You must be an individual 18 to 28 years of age who has self-identified as a consumer or survivor of mental health services, special education services or the foster care system. “Lived experience” is extremely valuable when working with youth in need of resources, support and advocacy.

Youth Peer Advocates will operate as part of a team that is assisting youth and families that are struggling. To become a Youth Peer Advocate, you must be able to demonstrate that you have an understanding of your own recovery or journey through the system. You should possess leadership skills and knowledge of advocacy. Confidentiality is extremely important in this position. You should be able to use your own lived experiences with the different service systems to assist youth that are struggling to achieve recovery and wellness.
