Workshop: Self-Care for the Caregiver
“I’m Fine,” are words we often tell others when asked how we are. The fact of the matter is that we may not be fine. Caring for a loved one with special needs does not come with an easy button. Try as we might, we cannot stop the impact of the needs of our loved ones. However, there is a great deal that we can do to take responsibility for our own personal well-being and to get our own needs met so that we can better support our loved ones. Deb Foster, Massage Therapist, and Joleane Robinson, Wellness Advocate will partner for this workshop on simple techniques and strategies for preventing burnout while caring for our loved ones with special needs.
