as we welcome presenter Deborah Patrick Staley, BCBA
Autism 101 & the ABC’s of Behavior:
Challenging behaviors can be one of the most difficult aspects of caring for a loved one with a developmental disability. Join Family Resource Network and Behavior Analyst Deborah Staley for this half day conference.
This conference will address:
* A brief overview of Autism
*The core areas impacted by Autism
*The implications for learning
*How behavior functions
*What can be done to address challenging behaviors
About the speaker:
Deborah Patrick Staley graduated from Hartwick College in 1988, with a BA in Political Science. After many years as a stay-at-home mom of 4, she returned to graduate school at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, earning an MA in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), after her oldest daughter was diagnosed with Autism. She has over 10 years of experience working in the field of Autism, both in the public school setting and in the clinic setting. In 2016 she began working at the Kelberman Center for Autism, as a behavior analyst, focusing on school consultation services and parent & community education and training.
