As a parent or guardian of a child with special needs, your lived experience could go a long way in helping others.  The Family Resource Network of Oneonta has rewarding employment opportunities for Family Peer Advocates.  You must be able to use your own experiences with various service systems such as Special Education, Mental Health and OPWDD to assist families who are in need of support, advocacy and resources.  There are full-time positions available with hourly pay plus mileage reimbursement.  So, if you are a parent or guardian of a child with special needs and have experience navigating systems and services, this rewarding job could be for you.
